Mission & Vision
Missie & Visie
The Open Social Engineering Framework Project (OSEFP) has a mission to make knowledge about social engineering freely accessible, structured, and usable for everyone working to improve human information security.
We believe the best defence against social manipulation is understanding. By openly documenting attack techniques, psychological principles, and defence strategies, we enable organisations and individuals to effectively protect themselves.
"Think like an attacker. Train like a defender."
Our principles
- Open: All content is freely accessible no registration or payment required
- Practical: Theory is supportive usability is central
- Defensive: The primary goal is always protection, never attack
- Ethical: Every module is linked to clear ethical and legal frameworks
- Evolving: The framework grows with the threat landscape
"Think like an attacker. Train like a defender."

What is OSEFP?
Wat is OSEFP?
OSEFP is an open reference framework that documents the complete lifecycle of social engineering. It is inspired by the work of OWASP but specifically focused on the human attack vector.
The framework is built from eight modules, from reconnaissance and pretexting to defence, legislation, and ethics. Each module is independently usable but together forms a coherent whole.
